All you can eat, government sponsored, drugs

Would you want to live in a society where drugs were given freely and in as large a quantity to those interested?

If the government spent half the money fighting it cultivating it, they could just let people eat/smoke/snort themselves to death. Leads to less entitlement issues, eases healthcare concerns, could keep a running database on effects of consumption levels, maybe learn some socially valuable things.

I personally think it would be great for many reasons, not the least of which would be the unalienation of such an inherent aspect of human civilization.

^ a good idea is a good idea. Ideologies come and go: they are a good framework for thinking, just like having a moral system for dealing with the real world. If a situation in the real world comes up and the solution doesn't fit into your ideology, then you do what works......no big deal

I'm a nothingtariarian: I don't have an ideology
