Am I allowed to hang out with my equity research friends?

Hey y’all, wanted some advice.
I’m hanging out with some friends over this coming weekend that work in equity research
We’re all in the same industry/coverage but are at different banks.

please advise on if the SEC will allow this.
I remember reading something from HR that talked about a chaperone being necessary.

The chaperone thing is only if you're talking shop. i.e. you're the coverage MD for Apple, your bank's sell-side analyst moves to a Sell rating and Apple obviously wants to do no business with your bank anymore. You, with a chaperone present, can ask them their views and why they have the rating, but you can't try to convince them to change it. The chaperone is just to make sure you're not intimidating the analyst, not to prevent them from meeting at all

You can hang out with your junior ER buddies outside of work, but obviously no discussing work at all.
