how would this affect those with prime accounts though?

I don't have a prime account so I don't know or care

If you don't have a student email address you can prove you're a student in other ways. You can email them your tuition bill or other things that state the period for which you'll be a student. It's a bit strict, but worth it for the cheap Prime and other benefits.

If you're after cheap textbooks, I recommend www.abebooks.com (owned by Amazon.com I understand).

Get good quality textbooks often for a lot lower prices than on Amazon.com.

You don't need to be a student. I've been buying uni textbooks plus some other non-fiction through this site.

Quality of the books is generally high. Most of the books I've bought have been near the lower end of the price options and seem to be unused textbooks that were never sold and just sat on shelves.

All books I've bought through this are third party sellers.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

The fuckers said it was free, but I just saw a $1 charge on my CC. Fuck these scoundrels and the flying saucer delivery vehicles they rode in on.
