The 4chan kiddies have a new target: Drug Cartels.
Personally, I think the US government should extend an olive branch and collaborate with these guys to take advantage of any talent and desire to attack the cartels on this front. The enemy of my enemy is my friend? While this particular group isn't very sophisticated, they're definitely more tech savvy than the cartels are at this point and I think they could make a dent. If they do a data dump then a bloodbath will likely follow, but it will largely be among warring cartel groups so I'm not sympathetic.
I'm curious what your reaction is.
I don't really agree with some of the stuff Anonymous does... but it would be pretty awesome to fuck with the Cartels. I say do it. They seem to be pretty damn good at hacking.
don't really think the cartels are storing client lists and distribution routes on hard drive but a reminder that they are not exactly modern day robin hoods is fine by me

Damn, these fools are staying busy. They've also called for "Operation Fox Hunt" and plan on taking down the Fox news site on Guy Fawkes day.

What are they going to do exactly? What information are they assuming these cartels have stored in computers? Don't really see how this is going to get any traction...
too bad it is a fact that the US gov supplies cartels with arms, intel, and banking. So essentially more risk lies to the US govt agencies and the banks that launder the cartel money. The cartels could care less about some hacker group.

Anonymous has its moments where it hits other bad guys, but I don't think that the U.S. should be teaming up with an organization that will likely "go rogue" at some point in the future.
