SMH at this
The above is a little racist for my taste. While I agree that there are stereotypes for a reason, not all black people are like that by any means. If I caught you saying something like that to one of my black friends, I'd fuck your shit up. And then I'd submit it to WSHH to show that white people can be "savage and barbaric", too.
What? Here's a direct line from your post.
"Blacks are some of the most savage and barbaric people; they have no respect for the rule of law and basic social order. The only way to properly deal with them is through brute force."
Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but it comes off extremely ignorant; also, it's a blanket statement classifying all blacks that way...
As Benjammin pointed out, whether you intended it or not, it comes off badly. I don't normally jump on people for saying semi-racist shit or buying into stereotypes (after all, they're there for a reason), but your post was poorly worded at best.
And that could hardly be considered a rant. Here is what a real rant looks like:
(Edited out the rant, on second thought didn't need to bring that back up)
Depends on where you live in Philly. I knew a friend that lived in an apt near Temple University. He heard gunshots, and a bullet went right through his front door. After that incident, he just packed up and left. Didn't come back until his senior year.
Center City is very safe. You have to look at the statistics sorted out by area of the city. Just like how in NYC, Manhattan's statistics are very different than Queens'; in Philadelphia, Center City is different than say, North Philly (where Temple is).

While I'm not a huge fan of police by any means, what do those people think is going to happen when someone shoots a cop in the chest?
