I'm surprised by the number of reporters who graduated from really top colleges.
Really? Why? Considering that connections are even more important in journalism than finance this should not come as a surprise.
Apparantly reporting is fairly prestige-centric. You need to graduate from top colleges to have a shot at the best jobs. Funny, I thought all you needed to be able to do was read. Don't other people prepare most of your stories and do the analysis?
