"Most those products use peroxide anyway" is irrelevant when I said people could go get peroxide treatments. The issue is the baking soda, which is too abrasive. Using it once every 6 months is 10 times in 5 years, and so on and so forth. It's not worth doing. Do things the proper way. You have the money to.

kellycriterion is about maximizing the geometric rate of returns. Depending on your utility profile, that may not be rational. Half-kelly and rock on.

Bedside advice coming straight from a dental professional:

Go see a dental hygienist to get your teeth cleaned. Do a regular cleaning with polish, should be good (usually covered twice a year with insurance). If stain remains, they can also do a chemical whitening.

And to prevent further staining, always drink anything other than water using a straw.

If no straw, rinse and wash your mouth with water right away.

Dental hygienists are completely different from dentists. Dental hygienists can perform oral hygiene tasks like teeth cleaning and scaling and brushing teeth with fluoride treatments or gels. Dentists (and dentist specialists) can do extractions, root canals, fillings, maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, make dentures, do implants, crown and bridge work, and on and on.

My last visit to the dentist, the hygienist commented how white my teeth are and asked if I drink coffee or not. I said I drink coffee everyday and she was very surprised. I drink a lot of green tea too and my teeth don’t stain for some reason. I use 3D white Crest toothpaste and an Oral B electric toothbrush.
