No but I have a Nordic track bike which is similar. It's nice because you can rip off a workout quickly in your apartment during the day in less than 30 mins, also you don't have to leave the house and face the sub 20 degree weather. The downside is it's only a lower body workout, but you can always do push-ups and whatnot after a ride. If I were you I'd pay the extra few hundred $ for the best model there is

Standing up, pedaling hard is a total body workout.

It is definitely more strenuous but how does it work the arms?

I have a peloton, rower and tonal. Of the three, I’d recommend the tonal and rower above the peloton (unless you’re looking for a larger community to workout/compete with).

Tonal: cable based strength system with live and on-demand workouts. The technology is based on magnets which minimizes the amount of space you need. All in, you’ll need at lease 7x7 feet to move around in when doing a workout. What I’ve found beneficial is there are training programs you can sign up for and it’s a great way to hold yourself accountable through the week.

Rower: I rowed in undergrad and was a huge fan of the concept 2 rower but transitioned to a water rower a few years ago. Ergatta came out with a rower with monitor a few years ago which heightens the experience. Either rower is great and as a plus, they can be stored upright so space requirements are minimal. Overall rowing is an excellent workout that targets upper and lower body as well as core.

Peloton: I’ll spare you the description because we all know what a peloton is by now. I was consistent with the peloton at the beginning of COVID, back when it was still a novelty for me, but now I find myself rotating between rowing and cycling. It’s still a great machine and was a great way to get back into a routine but I use it more for recovery days.

I have a bike in my extra bedroom hooked up to a Kickr Core trainer that runs Zwift on a 47in screen.

Yeah Zwift is possibly one of the coolest things I have ever found in life. It’s a blast. My favorites are the pacers (Brevit, Cadence) and the Zwift races are incredible.

I have the bike. I like it a lot. The Yoga classes are pretty good too. Everyone talks about how they’re “overpriced” “it’s just a stationary bike with an iPad”

Probably all true, however, I have rode tons of stationary bikes at gyms cheap and expensive and the Peloton is a fucking amazing built bike. Rides amazing once you get use to it.

Oh, and nothing bad about riding to instructors like Kendall Toole.
