Anyone on UES wants to lift weights this summer?

Totally random and unrelated to finance.

Last night I injured a finger and now I cannot climb for the next 5-10 weeks. Bummer, but I figured I’d lift weights over that period - get to stay in some shape and keep doing something physical so I don’t go nuts.

If anyone in the NYC wants to lift together, that would be awesome. I am on the Upper East

Whereabout and which gym?

Anywhere from GC area to 96th street. I am still try to decide on the gym - I am a member at a climbing gym, but I am going to freeze that for the time being.

I have a friend who lives in the country, and it's supposed to be an hour from 42nd Street. A lie! The only thing that's an hour from 42nd Street is 43rd Street!

No homo?

He'll say that before he holds you on the squats.

You know... for 'support'.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I have the misfortune of having to go to NYSC on 91st. Only 2 squat racks and 3 benches. And of course every time I go there's this one cretin who's taking up one rack with either shitty 95 lb eighth squats (not even quarter) or 55 lb curls. I hope that retard quits. Not the gym though. Quits life.

I was actually thinking of checking out that gym :) I would be yet another loser like that dude, only weaker

I don't care if you're weak because we all are compared to somebody else (unless you're Brian Shaw). Just don't take the squat rack for curling 55 lbs.

Keep an eye out for me. I'll be the big black ignorant n!gga with two doorags on (one laced in the front and one laced in the back) tossing around big weights getting diesel smelling like foul dro.
