Anyone read The Alchemist?
I've read the book once and am reading it again. It has really changed my life.
Anyone else inspired by the book?

Why would you try and get into a top law school instead of an MBA...
I feel I gave a better chance at a top law school than at a top MBA.
Read it a few weeks ago, but it seemed like a lot of platitudes that seemed unrealistic.
Id recommend Myth of Sisyphus by Camus
Or Camus' The Stranger.
I read the stranger.
Yeah I liked it a lot. I read it along with other similar books, about 4 years ago when I didn't know what the fuck I was doing with my life and pretty depressed about everything. This rang true to home: “Because I don’t live in either my past or my future. I’m interested only in the present. If you can concentrate always on the present, you’ll be a happy man.”
That is good to know; are you successful now? I liked that quote as well. I also liked when it said, "If you pursue your dreams, the whole universe will conspire to make it happen" or something like that. I am following my dreams now, and it does seem that a lot of good things are happening. We'll see.
Yesss, finally some existentialists here. "Mother died today. Or maybe yesterday; I can't be sure." ~Camus
To the original poster. Everyone on Wall St wants to be a doctor. Every doctor wants to work on Wall St.
It's a grass is greener thing.
