Apartment Help w/ Hybrid Model

Firm has announced a hybrid plan of in the office Tuesday-Thursday and wfh the rest of the week. Should I still live in Manhattan (midtown) or should I live farther away and commute in? Or should I splurge for a nicer place to have lots of room for a desk since I’ll be sitting there all day.

I haven’t signed a lease yet but we are set to head back soon although I’m not 100% because of the delta variant and we are now required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

Stay in Manhattan, but for the love of God get out of boring ass midtown.
