Are Hungry Enough? Motivation Instagram

I hope 2016 is off to a great start for all of you. I think it's safe to assume that everyone on this forum has a higher degree of motivation than the average individual. If you're anything like me, you're constantly looking for new sources of positive energy to fuel your drive and strengthen your state of mind. This may be through books, this website, people, movies, experiences ect.

I don't like working wall street hours, but I do like fighting towards financial freedom and building a wall street skill set. Sometimes it can be hard to stay motivated. Throughout your life in repetition, you've probably heard the importance of surrounding yourself with positive influences. Positive influences are key to staying on the right path and in keeping the right state of mind.

For fun, I would like to build an a collection of instagram pages specifically catered toward wall street professionals. They would feature a constant stream of motivational pictures, quotes, book recommendations, ect. It would be another source to give you a boost of motivation while you're plugging away on a pitch book at 10PM and getting angry thinking about your roommate who works in digital marketing and is at the apt making swedish meatballs while watching Making of a Murderer with his very average girlfriend.

Is this something that would interest this group? If so, I'd love to learn more about what, specifically, you'd like to see.

I fear that people with this sort of attitude are the most likely to develop cocaine habits.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.

"The Real Max"

I don't know about you, but I'm 100% more productive since I deleted/blocked almost all of my social media accounts. All I have left is Facebook that I check like once a week and snapchat that I use for the obvious reasons.

This is a good strategy. Social media is absolute poison to one's productivity and ability to achieve something in this world.

As far as the OP's idea goes, I don't think much of it. I have found that being bombarded with incessant motivational material is only a temporary fix at best. Developing ingrained habits coupled with 100% believing in your vision for your future is much more important and effective.

Must be nice. My current role requires a lot of social media marketing so I usually have a tab of FB or linkedin open on my laptop 24/7. I do enjoy it and it can be a good resource for news that I normally would have to go out and read from a physical newspaper. Lately I've "unfollowed" most of my FB friends so my feed is pretty good now. Proud to say I don't have fb or linkedin apps on my iphone yet.

Completely understandable if you role requires it, but is linkedin really considered "Social Media"? To me at least, it seems like it's only for keeping tabs on people you've networked with, knowing what roles people are in, etc. I don't see anyone sharing posts, talking about their vacation, or getting into political debates (FB, I'm looking at you). I'm in undergrad though, so it may very well change.
