Balancing sleep/ Productivity issue

Hi everyone, I am currently in my final year of college and essentially I am looking for help on one of the most major things that I have not managed to figure out discipline-wise. That being a balance between productivity and sleep, which is worrying me for the future. Some context: Since middle school I have had a dilemma that unfolds in the following way. If I go to sleep before midnight, I have absolutely no problem waking up at 05:30-06:00. In contrast, if I go to bed at around 00:30-01:00 getting out of bed at a remotely acceptable hour for anyone my age is an absolute nightmare and it’s actually beginning to embarrass me.

I know I have the necessary will to do it no matter what, if I have something important to do. I’ve never missed a meeting, never been late during internships/ work and I’ve never missed an exam however, then comes the problem. I crash majorly. By majorly I mean that I stare at the revenue and CoGs figure for 5 minutes before I rediscover subtraction so I can get to gross profit. This happens at around 15:00-16:00 if I had a 05:00 wake-up which is extra bad because 15:00 is far too early for this shit.

I guess my primary questions is how people manage to remain functional and stay up for such a long time, and if any of you have any tactics. Also, please don’t mention skiing. Every time I bring this up seriously someone can’t help but mention playing in the powder so no - that’s not what I’m planning on doing. Also, redbull /coffee is not sustainable because if I have one at around 16:00, I won’t feel tired enough to sleep until 07:00 am. So that’s typically an utter failure. In essence if any of you have any strategies to recommend I would highly appreciate it.

You’re in your final year of “collage”? How many years does it take to perfect collaging?
