Barbers/Salons in NYC??
Monkeys— I have decided to make a jump from my barber as NYC begins to reopen. Yet, I’ve found myself at a loss in regard to finding a great barber/salon in the city. I have Bradley Cooper in the Hangover style hair and would like to keep it that way, but need a good trim/beard shaping. Any suggestions? Open to all 5-boroughs, as I go every 2-3 months, so willing to take the trip.
Thanks in advance.
Go to a traditional old school place!
Geno's Barbaria in the West Village.
Ace of cuts in East Village. Ask for Peter or Alex. Peter comes from a lineage of barbers, and owns the shop. Alex is his son, and even though he has a Pharmacy degree, chose to become a barber full-time!
Both spend a lot of time on your hair, use scissors, etc. The haircut comes with an open bar.
I;ve been going there for 3 years and have never had a bad cut. They are really consistent, and only charge 25 (used to be 20), and expect the price to go up given COVID.
frank's hairstylist by WSP. Now charge 30 (used to be 25). Run by 2 friendly guys. Been going there for every haircut since 4 years now
