Beijing Duck is Paradise

Growing up, I lived around Chinese places that did not have Beijing Duck. I had never heard of it. I had only heard of Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao chicken and the like. Then, I moved to Beijing for 3.5 months and grew to love Beijing Duck. They serve it with little Chinese tortillas and plum sauce and cucumber and you make these little wraps and it is amazing. Select NYC Chinese places have it.

Yeah he's describing Peking Duck. Peking is Chinese for Beijing OP

In Beijing you say you want "Beijing Kaoya" (北京烤鸭), but yes it can also be called Peking Duck in English speaking places. Beijing in Chinese means "Northern Capital" in English, with Nanjing meaning "Southern Capital."

I studied at Peking University in Beijing and no one in China calls it Peking. It is commonly called Beijing Daxue in Chinese (北京大学), or Beida for short.

肉夹馍 is also very good, did you try this as well in Beijing?

Roujiamo looks good - I haven't tried it. Do you order it in the US too?
