BMW X3M & X4M Comps are leasing extremely well these days.

One of the best overall packages, especially from a cost/benefit analysis point of view.

Also- you don't want a minivan. Life is too short for minivans.

SB'd....Understated advice. My friend took over a 2 yr lease transfer on a 2018 BMW M3 ZCP. 95K MSRP........previous owner gave him a $12,000 incentive to takeover the lease ( which was about a 10 months worth of payments).
There are an insane amount of deals out there if you keep your eyes peeled.

Any specific strategy for finding good lease takeover deals? I’ve never considered this before but sounds reasonable.

I’m totally fine with changing cars all the time, I really don’t do anything personal to cars besides get into accidents with them.

do you have any experience using the lease trader or swapalease websites? They seem to have a number of legitimate leads but you need to pay a monthly subscription

Honda Odyssey will meet all of your needs. Now if you believe the term 'happy wife happy life,' I'd say a Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe AMG.

Not sure what the budget is but varying by price range, ill add a few to the list from above: Honda CR-V, Acura MDX, Infiniti QX60, BMW X5, Mercedes GLC, then probably Porsche Cayenne/Macan area. A less sexier option and boring answer, is the Volvo XC60. They definitely arent the sexiest cars on the road but Volvos are built like fking tanks in case youre concerned about safety as a new dad.

Don’t know what your budget is but how about a Mercedes e63 amg, Porsche Cayenne, Audi rs7, Tesla model x. You’d said you wanted something reliable so how about a Reliant Robin, that could be a good option...

Toyota Camry / Avalon probably most reliable cars you can buy per dollar spend. Honda sucks except for lawn mowers, sorry not sorry. Stay away from corollas though, they’re like driving in a golf cart.

Doug DeMuro chose the Kia Stinger, which I agree is an amazing option. I'd also say the Tesla Model Y and the Kia Telluride. The Tesla Model 3 SR+ (which is like $38,000) may be the best vehicle for the price that you can buy right now, but it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Note on the Telluride--it's so popular that Kia dealerships are bumping the price well above MSRP, which is the only reason I would put it a notch below the Model 3; however, the Telluride is a siiiick SUV at a siiick price and it looks really good.

Are you also a fan of the Pontiac Aztek?

If you want practical and fun for a decent price, check out the new line of Ford Broncos, great interior pretty zippy engine and its an SUV. If you don’t like SUVs, Tesle Model S or Model 3 depending on budget

Acura MDX or the 4Runner. Both should last quite a while. A buddy has a 2015 4 Runner with 132k miles and counting he purchased brand new in late 2014. Best car he's owned according to him.

Very disappointed no one has said Mazda CX-5/7 yet. Mazda makes really good cars for the money, and they are definitely not a bore to drive. I drove my buddy's fully loaded Range Rover Velar and then my mothers basic CX-5 and the Mazda is leaps beyond in terms of driving quality (pedal feel, brake linearity, transmission shifts, steering quickness, etc.). Obviously the interior wasn't the same, but if you're looking for something that's practical, has lots of space and exciting to drive, go with a Mazda.

Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna (just refreshed this model year 2021). Trust me, everyone recommending SUVs doesn't have a baby/toddler. Having the vehicle low to the ground as well as sliding doors, 3 rows with folding / removable seats, etc. is so much more convenient than an SUV. It's so convenient to put the baby in/out of the car as well as pack a bunch of stuff in a van. Just make sure you get the leather seats upgrade to make it easy to clean. If you're really balling you can get the high end version with the vacuum cleaner which is great for Cheerios and other messes.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

no idea why anyone would MS this?  I have a CR-V...because NYC and I street park.  I'm tall so the SUV is easier to buckle the car seats, I don't have to bend down that much.  But, I leased it for 3 years, because who will know what type of car I will need in 3 years(2 years left).  The MPG and compact, yet VERY roomy driver side and passenger side, not to mention room for car seats, was what won me over.

Just an FYI, anyone who said the Rav 4....they don't have the same child legroom for the car seats so you will be driving on top of the windshield.

But to your mini-van point, just saw friends who have 4 kids, and this is the way they go with a Honda mini-van.  It is versitile and easy for daily life.
