Best Laptop for 2025

Looking for recommendations on a new laptop, what does everyone like? This would be a second or third string work option for me during occasions on travel when I need to actually do real work beyond PDFs / email, which means it really just needs to run Bloomberg + excel (and API add in) flawlessly. I'm ok paying up for performance to minimize time spent troubleshooting / trying to get things to work.

If it's for personal use, you can't beat a Macbook Pro, but if you're going to work on it like you said, get a Lenovo. X1 Carbon is a solid choice.

I've had a Lenovo Yoga before and it was ok, but currently have a Lenovo Legion which is a gaming laptop and like it better. It is heavier, but I typically run a ton of different windows and programs on a 47in screen so need a powerful computer.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
