Best midtown east apartment buildings

I’m starting a job in midtown east in a few months and am looking for a 1 bedroom in a post war building under $7,500 that’s walking distance to 59th and 5th. Been looking on Streeteasy but would appreciate any recommendations as I’m moving from a T3 city and haven’t lived in Manhattan before. The names of any buildings you guys have liked would be really helpful!

The Rivergate is on 34th and...the east river. 1 bed like 3.5k on street easy. That's a bit far but maybe 20 minutes to your office.

Checkout out these owners who own in the area and have listings on their websites, Dermot Companies, Stellar Management, Pinnacle, Rose and Associates, Rudd, Stonehenge. Try for walkup buildings in the 60s, will likely be cheaper.

Please don't pay more than 3.5-5k for a 1 bedroom.

$5K - $7.5K is worth it if you can afford it in NYC.
