Best questions to ask a senior analyst/PM at a hedge fund interview?

Hi,

I have an interview with a multi strategy hedge fund (they run several strategies including quant, discretionary and FoF) for a junior investing role and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for some thoughtul and unique questions I could ask my interviewer?

Thanks for any help.

The key is asking questions that are not too specific but show interest and knowledge. If you’re too specific about things outside of the roll, they’ll view you as not interested in being apart of the team how they envisioned.

  • Who’s your main competitor?
  • why are you able to continue creating alpha going forward?
  • why would an analyst choose you over your competitors?
  • what direction are you looking to grow the business?
  • what type of clients do you serve and what’s unique about their needs?

I will keep these in mind, they're very good questions. Also, will update you with how the interview goes
