Best Rap and R&B Songs, Top 10 List
What does everyone think the best rap songs are. For me it comes down to this, grew up with rap in the 90s and 2000s, new songs would hit with Jay-Z, Pharrell, Nas, etc. Now these songs you used to be able to hear on the radio, and for the younger folks, everyone listened to the radio before the 2000s, that is basically how we knew about new songs. Sure people had CD players and Minidisk players, and for those that did, you could record a lot of songs from the radio on your minidisk player. Now these songs would get popular at #1-5, then slow fade away over 3-4 months. The one song that when it came on, I shit you not, was on the radio for 2 years straight, that song was.....
1 In Da Club - 50 cent
He dropped the hottest CD of maybe all time.
In da Club has been the epitome of a true rap banger since I was very young. I grew up with my older brothers listening to 50 and naturally came to love his music myself. Couldn’t agree more that Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is undoubtedly one of the best rap albums of all time. Just unfettered gangsta rap at its best. Those days seem to be long gone by now.
Unpopular opinion: I always thought the beat for In Da Club sucked. Candy Shop, Just a Little Bit, Best Friend, 21 Questions and Hate it or Love it are all way better as far as 50 Cent tracks are concerned
Outkast Rosa Parks for the Bass
