With Christmas coming up I am looking for a pair of wireless headphones. I was curious what other people are using. I’m looking for decent quality headphones (not an audiophile) that are comfortable enough to wear all day. My biggest concern is finding a pair that won’t block out too much noise. My MD has a habit of calling people into his office, but he’s not very loud so I need to be able to hear ambient noise.

Were you looking for over the ear or wireless earbuds? If the latter, I have a pair of Bose Soundsports that I love. I've been a bit of an audiophile for a bit and generally my go to products were either from Bose or Sennheiser :)
If you aren't particular about specific nuances (most aren't and your quality won't really go down), you can find a pair of skullcandy/JBL headphones on sale around $60-100 or thereabouts. They are reputable brands and should last you a while if you take care of them.
Personally, I like to put in the headphones and put some classical music/progressive house on when I need a few hours to crank out work without disturbance. I'd like to think that it helps with concentration and focus, but it's probably just a placebo, ha :)
The bose soundsports were the model I’m looking at. I’ve seen mixed reviews about them. Do you mind telling me how you like them?
Are they comfortable? Importantly, can you still hear ambient noise? As I mentioned I don’t want to block out all noise so that I can hear if someone calls my name.
I like them alot. I use them when I lift and in the office and they fit comfortably for long periods of time. They aren't noise cancelling like the quietcomfort models so you should still be able to hear external noise (as always, this is subject to how loud your volume is. Tangentially, I would definitely avoid really high volume sounds to preserve your ears).
I think you'll be pretty satisfied if you purchase these :)
