That book goes into so much unnecessary detail tho
JP Morgan by Ron Chernow.
Rockefeller Carnegie Elon Musk Bill Gates et cetera get the name and fame among American super tycoons.
But for me JP Morgan was the original bond villain.
Covers everything from how he saved New York City's finances to how he and his rich friends screwed Ethiopia over in an attempt to lend money to Italy.
Big time war profiteer and epic globalist and hands down the my favorite businessman of all time.
Also funded Edison and gave him money for the light bulb.
A psychopath, visionary, madman, elitist, unscrupulous intelligent bastard.
Do you like Chernow, I'm interested in both that and his biography on Alexander Hamilton, that's another guy that I think was a visionary, almost cut from the same cloth as JPM.
King of oil, about Marc Rich

Eric gave me a copy of his new book "The Bogle Effect" a couple weeks ago. I'm just starting to get into it, but he's a really good writer.
