Breakup with soon-to-be MD's daughter - Am I F*cked?

So basically I got an SA '24 offer for a TMT boutique (Raine//Liontree/Allen&Co) because I started dating this girl since freshman year and my sophomore year I found out what her dad did and what IB was. Pretty soon after that I had an offer and I was up in the clouds levels of happy.

Well fast forward its my junior year and me and this girl breakup because her friends start telling her that I was using her to get the offer (completely untrue) and she said that + the fact that I was going abroad meant that she wanted to breakup. Well I start working under her dad soon, and he really likes me (at least he did before the breakup). What do I do now? I am having fears of him hating it and making my summer a living hell/not getting a return. Any advice?

Sounds like she broke up with you. Unless you fucked her over somehow think he will be chill about it / nice to you

I would just plug along into the job like nothing happened. Be professional, work hard and do your best so nobody can complain. There is no reason for you to make the first (or any) move to address the situation. Let the dad or the ex make the first move.

Tbh, in a professional setting and given dad is an MD, I doubt he would do something given how petty an MD going after an SA for breaking up with his daughter is going to look. But I also know nothing about the nepo world, so maybe he does. Either way, as wise people have said, don't start nothing, wont be nothing.
