Buc-ee's is mind-blowing. Just pull up, take a look at all the gas pumps, and start running the numbers in your head - it's incredible. The retail side is impressive, especially food/beverage, though I find all the apparel and trinkets a bit unnecessary (but plenty of people love it and it prints $$). If you ever get the chance, you should absolutely stop by

I love Buc-ees. They opened one up here in Colorado....it's the TRUTH. Truly it is incredible.
Been to the one’s in Tennessee and Alabama. Love it. I have a bucee stuffed animal, he gets mad play from the ladies.

As far as convenience/gas chains go they are far and above the best. I respect them massively because of this degree of transparency.
This is also in very low cost of living places since Buccees is generally in very rural areas too. Like a married couple that both were on the low end of pay working there could have a pretty decent income for the area.
Comp is good but culture there is actually horrific, honestly comparable to banking in some regards. Turnover is crazy high - just take a look at them on Glassdoor. Don’t get me wrong I love going there as a customer, but there’s a reason they pay well.
It's like a modern-day oasis after weeks (hours) of walking through the desert (driving on the interstate). No complaints whatsoever about Buccees aside from the fact that there isn't enough of them. Their pay is liveable, but I've heard they have high churn because of how intense the work is.
There's just about every food choice you could want, merch, a mascot, cheap gas, etc. Definitely worth a stop on any road trip.
Can't forget their clean bathrooms. They really make a point to clean them non stop as another attraction for people driving for hours

Unfortunately, it has become extremely over commercialized and is a zoo every time you visit any location. You are still forced to stop there as the restrooms are clean, the food is "upgraded" in terms of gas station food, and all of the locations are strategically placed along all majors highways/interstates. However, it was much much better Pre-COVID.
To be fair, everything was better pre-Covid.
The pulled pork sandwich is pretty solid
