Buy aapl and nvda or put money in Roth?

I’m looking to invest $400. I like aapl and nvda a lot but also am thinking about just putting the money in my Roth IRA. I’m 21 years old and trying to figure the best way to invest this small amount. Any thoughts/strategies?

Hello mate! if I were you I would try to concentrate the most capital in or two positions, that would be my strategy if I wanted to maximize my chances of big profits. my biggest mistake when I started investing ago some years was trying to diversify a lot my portfolio, that applies to bigger capital portfolios. Between these options, I think both Nvidia and Apple have a great future ahead. You could also invest in ETFs. Greetings.

Definitely try to invest it in 1-2 companies in which you have high conviction and have developed a long term fundamental thesis. The skills and experience you'll start to learn from investing this way will be infinitely more valuable than whatever profit you can make on $400.

But you have to put some effort into it. Choosing 2 companies because you kind of like them won't teach you much. Dig deep.

Roth IRA is only the investment vehicle/shell not the actual investment itself. You can buy individual stocks within your Roth IRA (very common). Good luck.

Money can purchase freedom, if you have the guts to buy it
