California Fires! Should you evacuate? How bad is it?

I'm currently in San Jose and have received a notice to keep the doors and windows shut, because the smoke is traveling this way, perhaps.

I've been reading about celebrities being forced to evacuate in LA. Do you think it's a threat to northern cities in the Bay Area?

I'm so sorry if you have been asked to evacuate. I see a lot of Airbnb hosts offering their place for free and hotels offering discounts, along with other government support.

If you get a notice to evacuate - do so. You are putting not only yourself at risk, but the risk of the firefighters and rescue crew as well.

Stay indoors and do as instructed/notified if told so. Fire air is really bad air to breathe in.

No pain no game.

I am going to Cali tomorrow for a big bash at an Airbnb in Sonoma. I have been calling around to wineries and in contact with my host and they all say things are good to go there. The fires are well north of Santa Rosa and the wind remains favorable for wine country. In addition, most of the worthwhile places to go have generators and can operate off the grid to host for tastings even with power outages. Just get a driver and you can get wine drunk all day LFG!
