The taxpayers in CA are idiots that want this. It's what they actively vote for - being a state filled with sanctuary cities because they like how illegals coming into the state work all the menial labor for illegally low wages and give the state itself additional electoral votes and congressional seats. CA is even allowing non-citizens to become law enforcement for god's sake.

Conservative areas like cheap immigrant labor as well. They tend to be the main labor force in menial tasks like farming.

Even Trump used illegal labor on his properties.

First of all, on the farming note, that's a blatant misrepresentation. They are a large labor force for specifically large scale industrial farming and growing operations (which I and many conservatives are opposed to) and it's because of that abusive labor in combination with their scale, burdensome regulations (mostly passed by Democrats), and subsidies that they've driven smaller farm operations down to a fraction of what they were just 30 years ago.

Rest assured Trump oversees precisely 0 of the hiring for things like landscaping and sub-contracting for his org's properties so bringing up his name for some sort of gotcha means literally nothing here. It means even less when it's only conservatives and Trump who are actively trying to STOP the illegal immigration in the first place and address the root of the problem. So no, it's not an equivalent comparison in any way shape or form.

I'd personally love to see anyone found guilty knowingly hiring illegal labor and trying to conceal it of a felony and getting prison time, forfeiting all profits they made in the year, and face in-depth employment audits for a number of years if they're able to continue operations at all. And of course the illegals tossed out on the other side of the border with all their assets confiscated to compensate for the waste of taxpayer resources spent processing them.
