Political Campaigning While In IB?

So I wanna campaign for people running for President and Congress in 2024.

Since I'll be doing IB what should I keep in mind before volunteering in someone's political campaign? Can my bank fire me? Discriminate me? Can they see to who and how much I donated?

Would appreciate hearing from folks who did this while in IB.

I guess your concern is that the the liberal executives at your bank will get rid of you because you are campaigning for conservative candidates.  Are you concerned because you are planning on telling them which candidate you support.  I would try to separate politics and work as much as possible.

You're right. I won't be telling anyone at the firm I am campaigning for certain candidates. What concerns me is that they will find out through places like the Candidate's Facebook page, OpenSecrets, News Media, or other sources out there with my name or picture indicating that I am supporting them. I have never campaigned for any candidate before so I don't know to what extent can anyone figure out the political campaigns I volunteered and donated to (I have my social profiles private and never post anything).

I kind of doubt anyone would care, especially if you are at a low level in the company.  If you are in a high profile position, management may not want to take photos with Donald Trump or Majorie Greene:)

Good to know. But what if these campaign records resurface when I become a VP/MD?
