Can I bring my own chair? What chair does Lazard NYC have?
This might sound dumb, but I'm doing an SA at Lazard this summer my biggest worry is honestly the chair.
My back kills me when I sit for too long on a non ergonomic chair to a point where I literally can't do any work. The only thing that's getting me through college is a Herman Miller Embody I've been using since high school
Does anyone know what chair Lazard NYC has? Is it frowned upon if I bring my own chair if their chair is bad?

Yeah my Sophmore internship was at a small hf, and they gave me the worst chair imaginable . I spent the whole summer standing.

Tbh though bro, if your back can't handle anything but HM's top of the line chair, you have sever posterior chain issues that should probably be addressed.
As long as your chair is not covered in cheeto dust and doesn't stand out too much no one will give a fuck. What you need to figure out is if you are assigned to a specific desk or team for the entire duration or if you wil be floating. If you are fixed it just means you need to explain it once. If anyone asks why, just say a sports injury in HS and leave it at that.

To add, when you bring your own chair, do it early in the morning to minimize having to answer any questions
you're a human in the world with agency. come in at like 4a one day with the chair. get a very noticeable lumbar rest accessory that goes on top of the chair. You don't have to use it – put it on before you leave the office or when you leave your desk. This will massively reduce the chance that anyone ever takes your chair anywhere else, which is already unlikely.
FYI - I brought a yoga ball chair and didn’t get a return.
