Can you be a deep, critical thinker, and a goofy person at the same time? (Serious question, also must apply to teens/young ad.)

Hey everyone. I have been going through a very introspective stage in my life in which I wonder if I could maintain my goofy, optimistic self and be a strong critical thinker. I'm frankly attracted by my best friend who has a profound mind, but he is introverted and somewhat serious (but is well mannered and a gentleman). However, whenever I try to answer a tough, controversial question, I get insecure because I don't know how to answer it (mostly in politics, but because I'm experienced in Commercial Real Estate I don't get as nervous answering those.)

This made me think, is it because of my goofy/optimistic personality?

Now, the first person who I think of is Warren Buffet who possesses strong critical thinking skills and also a great personality (not necessarily goofy, but certainly charming, funny, and "chill") However, he was moreso introverted in his earlier life. The reason why, I presume, he opened up is because of experience and his vast knowledge for finance.

I want this question to reflect those in their teen/young adult life because it would better relate to my life. In my opinion I believe a strong critical thinker cannot be goofy, but can certainly be optimistic. A goofy person lacks focus, and will appease to anything given the circumstance, rather than questioning, and thinking, questioning, and knitpicking the situation quickly.

Im less goofy now that I'm in University, but I am still overly optimistic, and tremble when a loaded question is asked to me (esp. politics.) Although I'm no expert, I still believe that if I was more serious and focused than trying to please others, I can still give a solid answer.

What are your thoughts on this?
