Charlotte Rent

Hi everyone,

I’ll be moving to Charlotte this summer as an incoming analyst and been looking around $1500-$1900 for a one bedroom, with either one or two months free, and was wondering how much everyone else is looking/spending on rent?

I’ve seen prices fluctuate here and there and any insight on the best time to sign a lease would be much appreciated!

No clue what local joints to use are around Charlotte, but can always start with apartments (dot) com or ye olde mighty Zillow to start getting an idea and then just simply calling the interesting spots to see if there's any not advertised deals you can grab. Then if you can, take a long weekend out there a month or so out from your move date and go and actually check out the places on your shortlist to see if you like them, how's it fit with your commute, etc.

Great idea I’ll make sure to do that! Would you ever consider moving sight unseen if it’s a new building? Some of them have a good amount of pictures but I suppose worst case I can have one of the leasing agents do a quick video tour of the apartment
