Cheney, A Classy Take on the Osama Takedown

ABC: Dick Cheney Says 'Obama Deserves Credit' for Osama Bin Laden's Death

Showing once again why I love the man, Dick Cheney gives credit to Bush, Obama, and even Clinton for the prolonged hunt for the mass-murderer. Most importantly, he gives credit to the military, which I don't think any politician has done well enough up to this point.

Obama's speech was very self serving, elaborating how HE authorized it after HE reviewed the data over many months where HE chaired 5 meetings relating to the matter. Thanks Cheney, for finally giving credit where it is due. It is a victory for America, not the President- it was an action of the troops not the executive (Republican or Democrat)

When your level of personal cowardice allows you to seek and accept five draft deferments during Vietnam, you lose your right to even mention the military. I'm guessing the average SEAL wouldn't piss in Dick Cheney's mouth if his guts were on fire.

I don't even like Obama, but for Cheney to have the stones to crawl out from whatever rock he's been hiding under to give "credit" to anyone for helping to clean up a mess he's largely responsible for has prompted me to post this:

HAHA, that picture is ridiculous. No one deserves any credit outside of DEVGRU. Period.

That picture is ridiculous, cause it bears repeating.

"Cheney testified during his confirmation hearings in 1989 that he received deferments to finish a college career that lasted six years rather than four, owing to sub par academic performance and the need to work to pay for his education. Initially, he was not called up because the Selective Service System was only taking older men. When he became eligible for the draft, he applied for four deferments in sequence. He applied for his fifth exemption on January 19, 1966, when his wife was about 10 weeks pregnant. He was granted 3-A status, the "hardship" exemption, which excluded men with children or dependent parents."

Yea that's terrible. How dare he want to finish college or stay with his pregnant wife and unborn child. Some men who received deferments did go to war, and I commend them and any person who has the balls to serve our country- but for doing something normal rather than exemplary is not bad.

And how would this restrict him from commending the military? I can't serve in the military due to my disability, but I thank all armed servicemen for their work. Obviously I hold servicemen in a higher regard, but in much the way that I believe that it takes a special man to be in the clergy, it takes a special man to work in the army. Defending our freedom is not something that anyone can do well, and I would rather those of weak resolve (whether its fear of death, losing their loved ones, or wanting to finish college, etc.) not serve.

Reality hits you hard, bro...
