Chess world championship 2023
Anyone here following the World Championship? I want Ding Liren to win because he's the clear underdog and thought Ian Nepomniachtchi has him locked down after the round 2 loss, but given the win today, I'm not so sure anymore.
Magnus will always be my daddy. Are you also watching Gotham's recaps? Loving it.
Absolutely, his coverage is the only way I can understand it
no Magnus = zzz
but hope Ding wins
100% agree to both
Definitely going to be an interesting match. In a way, it's nice that there's no clear favourite, as the players will have to take some more risk to win games. With Ding levelling the score, Ian has lost some of his psychological advantage - will be interesting to see how the match progresses from here
Ding LiRen is a BOSS!
Would recommend GM Daniil Dubov's recaps of the game on FIDE's official YT channel. Dubov is a super GM who breaks down the games in a clear and often hilarious way.
Beyond that, Nepo is clearly the underdog after that excruciating blunder. He'll be hoping to keep it together for the next few games. I think Ding will press him hard now.
EDIT: Wrong link my bad
