China and Video Games
Did any of you read that china has just limited kids to 3 hrs of video games on the weekends? I havent looked into it too much yet, but thought it was funny and terrifying.

I lived in China with a host family while I studied at Peking University and the son in the family basically was at high school from 7am to 7pm and then did homework after and then dinner and sleep so he didn’t have much time to play video games.
China is yuuuge on education. Also, the language (writing and reading) is complex so it takes a while to learn. They push their students really hard, but also have a high suicide rate.
Actually China just banned private tutors too, there is a huge amount of pressure on them to pass standardized tests. I think Xi is trying to get kids to be more athletic, he’s a huge sports fan and they’re gonna have the olympics. Their new education program is trying to make boys more manly
