I'm not worried for China.
Many people forget that the Chinese government has the unusual luxury of being able to force mass human migrations. Most of their population is still not urbanized. This is unusual only in the sense that it hasn't been seen before. However, it fits right in to the vision that China's leadership has for its country.

This is old news. But I know what you mean, and if you look at it from a western perspective, it seems outrageous. Fortunately the gov't could w/e they want and will do w/e to maintain growth.
