Chrome redesign. WTf?

Who the hell decided to scrap a classic, functional five-year old design for some childish, elementary school play-day type design? WTF? The new Chrome update looks like a toy. Rounded corners, all-white, laughable fonts - is this actually a utilitarian web browser or simply a failed attempt at modern art for hipsters to jerk off to?

Firefox is a CPU/RAM-hungry monster for Mac and safari is a joke for anyone who's actually trying to get some stuff done.

WTF google? How did this even get through user testing?

To anyone who hasn't updated to Chrome 69: DO NOT RESTART YOUR BROWSER

I saw the redesign and while I think it could be better, I seriously cannot grasp what this has to do with millenials or hipsters or why you bring your clear hatred of them into a post about a web browser.
