Coffee Chats and COVID-19
This may be a really stupid question, but with spring break coming up, I was planning of heading to NY and having a few coffee chats - would all the panic around COVID-19 dissuade bankers from coming out and meeting? Just wanted to hear some opinions before I send out those emails and ask.
Also considering the same thing... but I'm wondering if it's worth it/safe to fly to NY right now from the West Coast.
Forgot about something else - going for that handshake might be kinda awkward
fist bump and shout out corona
Just give the banker a fistbump. Keeps germs away und you will be bros from there on out
It might. It might not. Send those networking emails.
This is the answer. We've been told to limit any travel / meetings / etc related to work. Some people may take that warning seriously and use it as an excuse to not meet up with people for networking. Some people may not be concerned and say yes. You never know which way each individual will lean, so you might as well make the effort to send out networking requests either way.
Most likely not. Just send the emails.
