Considering buying an Apple Watch for sleep tracking - worth it?

As you can guess by the title, my quality of sleep is awful and I’m always exhausted. For those of you who own an Apple Watch, how good is the sleep tracking? Has it been useful?

If I can buy one used for cheap I’ll pull the trigger

I’ve never used my Apple Watch to track sleep simply for the reason that the battery life is horrendous. It’s usually the watch you use during the day then charge every night.

With that being said, if you use it to track your sleep, then charge during the day, I see no problem. Personally don’t know how good the data is

I have a garmin instinct. It's being sold at a discount right now because the newer version came out. I use it to track sleep, workouts, heart rate variability, etc and it has a 14 day battery life. Would recommend.

Garmin > Apple

Bought my Garmin in 2018 and it is still going strong.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Garmin watches do a poor job at tracking sleep quality, and many of their statistics are wrong from actual numbers.

Check out Quantified Scientist on youtube. This guy buys all watches and compares them to devices used for measuring specific stats. Apple Watches are very accurate with measuring most stats, and Garmin isn’t that great, especially with sleep tracking. The biggest flaw of the apple watch tho is the battery life sucks.
