Contest

Hello Monkeys, I pose the following question:

Will Gangnam Style will overtake Baby as the number one video? Prove your answer with mathematical modeling. As of 10:30am on Nov. 19, these are the following statistics: Justin Beiber - Baby ft Ludacris : 801,700,350 views Psy - Gangnam Style : 766,384,646 views

I think a more interesting contest would be to see who could come up with the most creative way of murdering Justin Beiber.

haha, check out the "like" to "dislike" ratio on Baby.

I'd be more interested in how much money the uploader behind each channel has made with the videos via YouTube Partnership. For these videos its a pretty nice passive income given that artists don't sell as well anymore. Anyone have an idea?

Typical is $2 per 1000 views if you are with a partnership network (Machinima, Stylehaul, Vevo). Adsense is on clicks but typically will come out to a similar amount, its just not gauranteed like being in a network.

Artists only make money from views though. Other partners in different categories can get money from products, advertising, shoutouts etc etc etc.

From personal experience.

And gangam style overtakes baby in 15 days.

Wow, thanks for the info. May I ask how you know this? Do you have your own channel?
