CU Happy Hour This Thursday?

What are everyone's schedules looking like for a Happy Hour Thursday night, Sept. 6 in New York? Let's discuss locations. I'll be around, and I believe chicantoughness will be here as well.

It could just be drinking and carousing, or it could be a big group dinner. Or some combination thereof.

I vote for the Ginger Man, but am open to suggestions. This is OUR event; let's make it badass.

DisincentivyFirst night of NY International Salsa Congress. Not only will I be performing, but I also have 3 NYC struck Latinas staying with me.
That's pretty baller, I must say.

Will be in town regardless, so whatever happens I'll be there :P

Honestly, if we are doing the first CU event, I would make it a low key affair. Nothing crazy at all to be honest. Nowhere that's going to get packed, some place that we can relax, chill and actually not have to fight with massive crowds.

LR, I get why you want Midtown west. I found a perfect spot there that's fucking awesome and totally off the beaten path that when my friends showed up, they were looking around for about 10 minutes and I have a string of texts going where the fuck is this place. That's how low key, off the beaten path it is and it's in plain sight too. A little pricy though.

Oh, and unless we want a private CU Write-up, those are off the table for these kinds of things.

I'll try to make it, but might be in Philly for the second half of that week more likely than not. Will know more Tuesday ish...

Just as a reminder, this forum can be viewed by anyone.

That said, as a grad student, I'm not going to say anything else.

Also, the douche factor here, at least among the grad students, is surprisingly low- probably on par with Illinois (which means I'm at risk of being a douche). And we have a bar in the basement of the graduate dorms. If anyone reading this is in the neighborhood and it's not a weeknight, hit me up (CU or non-CU, as long as I've met you).

Illini, this should not be true...you are actually one of the few remaining mods...there are only a small handful left and this is a private group. Before, all mods could see this group.

I'm taking the 79 that day. Not sure what the schedule will look like for afterwards but hopefully can make it.

Prob won't be around, unfortunately. Hoping I will make it this upcoming to the one this week though.

FriedsDuff, if you're coming this week, please bring a Can of Düff with you - you know... the German Duff

Oddly enough, I'm a Guiness man.
