DIY Post-Nuptual Agreement?

My wife and I drafted a post-nuptual agreement we’re both comfortable with. It only addresses property & real estate distribution and a lack of alimony. If we go to a bank and have it notarized, will that hold up in court? Trying to avoid dropping $500 on a lawyer.

Please elaborate, there has to be a story behind this. But seriously, you should drop the $500, it'll save you multiples if there is even the slightest room for interpretation (odds are there will be). Some things are not worth the risk, this is one of them.

Just had my trade dispute rejected by Schwab for a loss of 35k. This single issue alone should be a gigantic red flag to anyone who trades on their platform. If they have a system error, and you do not video record your trading (they actually said this), they will not honour their fuck up. Switching everything away from them. Fuck this company.

:). No, I wouldn't want to run the gambit on this. It's one those things where 99% of the time you will save yourself 500 dollars, but on the off chance of a shortfall incident, you will lose significant multiples of this, regardless of your net worth currently.

There's a closer meaning to my user name. Try reading it quickly. Perhaps you will then understand ;P

It was my idea and it's just a precaution. Just being a realist. We're young and we fight a lot and I realize I have tons of options and my income will increase exponentially with no cap for the foreseeable future while hers will increase linearly with a cap. So I'm just protecting myself.

Do you actually make this much as a residential real estate broker? What the hell?

Well you can but I'm primarily in real estate as an investor. I do some broker shit and property management too. Got a day job but will probably quit in 3-5 years. @Predilection" She did not

Bruh has exponential income growth with no upper bound and doesn't want to spend $500 on a lawyer lolz I swear I don't know how some of you are in finance

Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.
