have you guys seen these gold/"rare" gold coin infomercials that always play on cnbc? for example: us money reserve commercials etc is it me or is it a load of crap? anyone ever actually buy these?

Understand these commercials are for people who really don't have a grasp of finance or have a fear of the world ending. I don't mean that in a bad way, but it's always a type of predatory selling.

Yes, I know somebody (very distantly) who invested a ton (6 figures+) into these random bonds hoping for a trillion dollar payout. It is pretty ridiculous what people believe. @ironman32" hit it spot on- fear of the world ending is a big selling point.
