No. Papers are hard enough, and the slog to get those published outside SSRN is miserable. Unless you have a cooperative publishing house getting a book out the door would be a nightmare.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Maybe if the right topic piqued my interest enough. I've always struggled with the idea of how to come up with enough verbiage to fill a book though. Always had an issue with essays and paper lengths in HS and college. Hard to imagine having to put together something 100x as long

I write too many books. They are just called CIMs.

I hold stock in CIM. It's done absolute shit for the last decade. I hope you mean something different.

I tried. My dad was always on my case in HS to try and do something newsworthy so I could get into a better college. I ignored most of his suggestions because he was just trying to push me towards STEM, but I decided to try and write a book after his suggestion. I got 40 pages in writing about the plight of an immigrant, and then I just didn't really continue. It was a lot of fun to write that amount, but it takes a LOT of stamina to write a whole full complete book.

Ye some sex stuff maybe like fantasies for women i dont know seems to sell really good

We could work together. I'm thinking 50 Shades mixed with something like Dirty Dancing. It's about a college student trying to break into finance, who falls in love with an older women, who happens to be a retired dancer. He rewakens her old spirit and something... more nefarious inside her. We can call it "Dancing in Chains" or something.

I wrote one in college.

It was about this crazy bicycle trip I did when I was 16 and I realized that without detailing all the things that happened to me, I'd very likely forget 95% of what happened. It was also very introspective as it was a memoir of sorts and it really got me to think about things beyond my day-to-day.

It definitely was a lot of work but so rewarding seeing it published on Amazon and it ended up inspiring a few family members and friends to write their own little memoirs, which was a nice side-effect.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who may have some spare time (hour a day) and wants to embark on a very introspective journey.

It's a pipe dream of mine to write a "realistic" Sci-Fi novel or series.

I have wanted to do this since I was a teenager and read Ender's Game and Dune for the first time (two of my favorite books) have the loose plotlines/universe mapped out in my head. But I have no fucking idea if I'll ever get around to it, or if it would even be remotely worth reading.

I think screenplays are cool too. There are two screenplays I'd like to write.

My friend writes screenplays in NYC and I have proofed some of his stuff. It would be pretty baller to write a good one and sell it. I find this prospect very interesting and compelling.
