Fast and Fiduciary

I have the day off but I'm sure I will get emails like "this can wait til next week but pls fix by tonight"

I work with three O-6 retired veterans (Navy Captain, Navy Captain, Marine Colonel) and they are all cool with having Zoom meetings tomorrow afternoon to talk about military projects in our portco - I don’t get it. I just want to have the day off to play poker!!!! damn itttt I can’t wait to have days off on Thanksgiving…… 🙏🏼

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Fast and Fiduciary

Q4 is always a grind. Even holidays aren't safe

Which makes Q1 SEC reporting a real grind after that. "It flows downhill"

Ha! I'm currently sitting in my living room, reading this comment. Fun day off, right? Nope, I don't think I've made it thirty minutes today without a phone call to get a sign-off or ground support or something that could be accomplished via a text. In addition, a good 80% of this is in no way a time crunch and does not fall within the critical path of "this can't wait until Monday." First world problems, I suppose!

It's an official day off for us - so the majority will take off. That said, there are some who will use a few hours to get caught up on actual work given the enormous number of calls that now exist for every single thing that happens.
