Yeah definitely

I have all accounts, but don't use them. ig, snap, tiktok, etc
they take up a lot of my time that I don't want to waste. also don't see the use of it, unless you are an attractive young girl who has, in theory, the ability to monetize with fast fashion brands. some modern startups/brands can also make decent amount of money with it. but if you work in an office, those services are a waste of time.

Yeah I'm on a few different platforms as I generally need a lot of stimuli. Also, when I'm playing poker I like to have a few things going on in the background or I get bored.

I think it is important that one becomes personally aware of their dopamine levels and what triggers favorable responses in the mind. Its bad if someone is truly addicted to social media and develops eating disorders, misses workouts, and agoraphobia, etc. These should be avoided, but some people face these things in the Covid world that we live in today.

The key is a good balance.

I recently have been researching TikTok and it seems like a pretty good platform. There is a lot of highly produced media on there.

Also, on TikTok there is the $200mm creator fund which is supposed to grow to $3B over the next 3 years, it highly incentivizes members to create quality content. Its not available in every country currently, but US citizens are able to sign up (to start getting paid) if they have 10K followers and 10K views in the past 30 days (available in US, UK, France, Germany, Spain or Italy).

One of the covid effects. all the things we have done before online are exacerbated.
A lot more views on youtube views, more folks on reddit, more forum activity.
