Does anyone actual believe vaccine mandates will accomplish anything?

Considering the rate of infection in super vaxxed countries / states (UK, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Singapore, Vermont, etc...) and well as waning vaccine efficacy (especially at 6 months), what exactly are vaccine mandates going to accomplish?

Not doubting that vaxxing and boosting the vulnerable should be done, but do we really think that there will be a material difference in spread with and without mandates? Feels like we have enough real world evidence to show that they aren't doing much.

Even if they do slightly curtail spread, not sure they are worth the economic headache & government distrust that they will create.
