Doubts

Hi,

I am sitting pretty much alone in my situation in my surroundings (no family or people close to me currently experiencing this to my knowledge) and have found myself thinking a lot about my ability to succeed not only in investment banking but also in general. I believe that I am suffering from some type of anxiety disorder or similar, though I can't be sure since I have gotten through the best business school in my country with 4.05/5.0 GPA. Now I am studying law and faring well, however, when it comes to interviewing for jobs it just doesn't seem to work out. I have had a few internships, none at top BB or MBB but investment banking and consulting nevertheless.

Law seems to come easier to me than business in general since I am a more verbal person than quantitative, I believe, however, I find subjects such as statistics and algorithm trading fascinating. I do like law too. I am confident that if I really work hard, I have the capacity to enter top BB or MBB, however, what I fear is that once there I will find out that I'm out of my depth and will fail, after which shit will come crashing down since I believe that I will have to struggle on the job, probably more than I would as a lawyer. Do you recommend pushing through the current difficulties and staying on the struggle or should I just choose the easy path out? Any experience in the domain where any of you have chosen one or the other of ways and how that turned out would be highly appreciated.

What exactly do you mean here? You're in law school and applying to law firms, but are not getting in?

Or you're in law school and thinking of leaving law school to be an IB analyst and applying to IB analyst positions?

Is it a 3 year law program - what year are you?
