Do/would you root for your graduate schools sports teams?

Like the post says, would you? I am not super interested in graduate school at the moment, but in a few years I would like to pursue an MBA from Texas or Texas A&M. Not only for their energy industry connections but their rich sports history. I will graduate from a school this December that is in the FCS and our athletics are just poor. I'd really like to go to a school where I can inherit a rich sports history, donate money to one day, and receive a solid MBA.

Thoughts on cheering for your MBA (graduate school) vs your undergrad?

Went to a school that was great for academics/recruiting, not so much for prime-time athletics. Even if I am to attend a program like Fuqua/Anderson/Darden/Stanford I don't think it will be the same as a 27 yo grad student. I will probably show up to class and sporting events in my undergrad gear, lol.

I don't think it would be completely ridiculous to have that as a tie-breaker, and there are plenty of elite/good business schools with great athletics program. Just keep in mind that it might not be the same experience

Thanks for the input man. I guess one thing that resonates with me is 'school pride' of which I don't really have any. Much to do with how ridiculous it is to get anything done at my school that has an undergrad of ~3500, and just the general attitude of the campus. A lot more as to why I ended up where I am, but I'm glad I'm getting out with job offers.

I guess I should have added a little context, I currently have two job offers, both in energy, both in Texas. If I were to go, it would be to get into a more senior role, or change trajectory as far as what part of the business I am in. A&M and UT both have large networks in energy so it wouldn't hurt to choose either of those.

I'm not exactly an M7 candidate, so I really am not looking into those, if I am being honest.

From what I've seen, usually those who root for their MBA school sports teams went to undergrad at a place with little presence in sports. For example, a friend of mine went to NYU for undergrad and then on to Ross for MBA. He roots pretty hard for the both Michigan football and basketball.

For those who go to both, you will almost 100% likely end up cheering for you undergrad over your grad. I knew a professor at Ross who went to Michigan State for undergrad and he was wearing white/green whenever the two played.

Thanks man. I imagine, if I end up getting an MBA, I would probably be like your friend. As I inch closer to graduation at my current school I've just realized how poorly this place is ran from top to bottom, and I have grown a bit bitter. For instance, I graduate in December and my school doesn't even do a Fall walk. Since I will be over 1000 miles away in the spring, there is a strong chance I won't be able to come back for graduation either.
