Dream retirement city?

For me it'd probably be Santa Barbara, a few hours away from LA, great weather and scenery, pretty quiet and naturey except for the ugly and loud monstrosity named UCSB.

Alternatively, I could go with something more exotic like Ibiza or Mykonos, but I wouldn't live there all year round because there's so many tourists and it's on a tiny island.

On the higher end, if my carry and coinvest keeps performing the way they are, something in the Hamptons or Beverly Hills wouldn't be out of the question, with Beverly Hills more suited for a high profile, early retirement. Miami would be a nice secondary place, you'd just have to choose a good neighbourhood so the latino and black kids don't bother you.

Santa Barbara would be cool. Look at Santorini if you’re thinking of Mykonos, it’s a little sleepier but just big enough.

I really like Maine, somewhere there close to/along the coast would be great.

Eastern European country as my base, and I would travel frequently across Western Europe/Asia. I don't go out often and enjoy nature. My money would allow me to live like royalty.

SB is cool but I will miss concrete jungles. I hate the feeling of FOMO and SB/SD or any French/Italian/Bali city will be too laid back and I’ll probably loose my grip on society and current issues

Late af but I like these questions so I'll go for it. I would like to be somewhere in CA, probably somewhere like Marina District/Pac Heights in SF or somewhere a bit more chaotic like Venice Beach/Santa Monica in LA. I'm still in college though so that's based on the same thing I would do if I won the lottery tomorrow. Assuming I wanted something more relaxed, Monterey, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Laguna Beach or La Jolla would be nice.
