Due Diligence as an Intern

Hi WSO,

I'm interning for a small boutique this summer, and I finally got an assignment that I'm unsure of where to begin. The director that I'm working under, forwarded me documents from a potential client, right as he left the office for the day. He told me to start my due diligence on it.

I understand what due diligence is, however with a promotional video, PowerPoint and word doc, where and how do I begin due diligence for this deal?

Knowing how often this term gets thrown around and that he gave it to you at the end of the day, I would assume that he wants you to get a good grasp of/study the material he gave you.

I agree with Entrepreneur. As an intern you are not going to do true due diligence on something, especially without some real guidance. My question is what exactly are these documents he sent? Without knowing, I would say go through the documents, get familiar with what is in them so if he has any questions you know what he is talking about and can investigate.
